Special Projects
Updated 10/03/2007

These are projects using different techniques.  Some are test projects.

(Pics take awhile to load)

Here I closed the mouth of Rosie O'Donnell.
Not an easy task.  That's probably true literally.  Aaaaah!

These dolls were given a breather mouth.
 Removed the teeth only.

80s Jazzie

80s Superstar
teeth removed and dimple made in lower lip

These dolls I did with Michelle's method for closing mouths.

80s Christie

New 90s Superstar

These dolls were dyed.  I don't like the results.
Look OK at first until dry.  At
least with dyed dolls facial painting not required.

These are: Vitamin-C and Creanna (Jakks)

These dolls were painted.
Creanna - full body painted, Pretty in Plaid, head painted
and put on Pocahontas body Vitamin-C - full body painted

Vintage Repro Barbie
my first painted lady

Midge

How about a solution for green ear?

Vintage Francie before and after.  Looking at the yellow discoloring, I think someone tried to
fix the green ear.  She still needs a repaint whenever I get time.  I love the color of her hair.
That came from the dye bath.  I used liquid Rit dye and mixed the colors:
dark brown, yellow, tan, black, scarlet

Tip:  Use very little scarlet  and black and as much as you can of the brown, yellow and tan.

Here she is wearing a Family Dollar outfit, which I love.  Amazing what $1 will buy.

I also did a vintage repro Barbie in the same dye bath at the same time.
For some reason she has a purple tone.  I thought it was the dye bath.  Maybe the different vinyl.
